Neighborhood Demonstration By 1st Fire Safety
Demonstration of a high volume pressurized home fire fighting system.
On August 13th, longtime neighborhood residents James and Carolyn Wilsford hosted a wildfire safety information event and ice cream social at their residence on Lakeview Drive, featuring a lively demonstration by local company 1st Fire Safety of their state of the art foam dispensing products.
A locally owned company based in Cedar Park, 1st Fire Safety has been developing these next level fire suppression products for fire departments and commercial applications, but also sells them direct to consumers who wish to safeguard their private residences, which is especially relevant in our high risk, heavily wooded neighborhood.
Their key innovation is a completely non-toxic, non-staining, environmentally friendly, self evaporating foaming agent which is dispensed to prevent the spread of fire and/or put out an existing fire, through numerous pressurized systems ranging from large handheld fire extinguisher canisters to industrial-sized Co2 pressurized tank and hose systems.
For more information on ways you could safeguard your home and property with various products offered by 1st Fire Safety, please reach out to them directly.
Huge thanks and gratitude to the Wilsfords for organizing this event, and to everyone else who helped out or attended.
Neighborhood resident Karen Johnson was the first brave volunteer to try out the high pressure system.
Brigid Shea attended the event and was the second volunteer to try out the high pressure hose.
2025-26 CTCA President Karl Holdren demonstrates how nontoxic the foam is.
